Wheatgrass is the “seed leaf” of the wheat plant. It is the leaf that will eventually grow the wheat stalk.

It is sometimes referred to as “Green Blood” because of its high concentration (70%) of chlorophyll which has the same chemical makeup of our blood’s haemoglobin.
